Common Terms

Root Domain: top level domain which is the domain that you have purchased

Naked Domain: a naked domain is the domain without the 'www'

Subdomain: This is an extension of the domain you have purchased


Instructions

A Record

  1. Log in to you GoDaddy account and open your product.
  2. Select the domain name you want to point to Pory in the Domain Settings page
  3. Scroll down to Additional Settings and select Manage DNS
  4. Click the Add button on the bottom of the Records section and select A under Type
  5. Enter the following in the fields:
    • Type: select A from the drop down
    • Host: enter "@" for a root domain such as hello.com or enter the subdomain if you want to use a subdomain value (i.e. enter blog for blog.mydomain.com)
    • Points to: enter 76.76.21.21
  6. Click Save

CNAME

  1. Log in to you GoDaddy account and open your product.
  2. Select the domain name you want to point to Pory in the Domain Settings page
  3. Scroll down to Additional Settings and select Manage DNS
  4. Click the Add button on the bottom of the Records section
  5. Enter the following in the fields:
    • Type: select CNAME from the drop down
    • Host: enter "www" if you want to use a naked domain such as mydomain.com or enter the subdomain value (i.e. enter blog for blog.mydomain.com)
    • Points to: enter cname.vercel-dns.com
  6. Click Save
