There are two ways to set up your filters for your listing.
- Set up a table in your Airtable base with all the filterable options
- We can retrieve all the options from your table if the fields you want to filter by are all single/multiple selects
The fields I want to filter by are a mix of selects and other field types
If the fields you want to filter by contains a mixture if different field types besides single select and multi selects, then you will need to set up a separate table in your Airtable base to store your filters.
The fields I want to filter by are all single/multiple selects
If the fields you want to filter by are all single/multi selects, then you should use the second option. Pory will be able to retrieve all the options from your fields however, you will need to sync these every time new options are added.
The filter table requires two fields, Name and Field Name in order for Pory to determine what to show as filters on your site.
Suppose we have a table and we want our users to be able to filter by Locations
Create a table (you can name it what ever you want), we named it Expert Filters
Add all the available options in the Name and add Locations for all the options in the Field Name field.
Now in Pory, go into the Edit Listing menu if you are not already. Scroll down to the Filters section and set the What should we use for your filters? to Fetch from a table
From the Filter table menu, select the table you just created. In our case, it is the Experts Filters.
Click Save when you are done
