In this article, we will learn how to use Google's Search Console to submit our sitemap onto Google for indexing.
Custom Domain
Submitting Subdomain or Domain
- Go to the (search console)[https://search.google.com/search-console-submit-domain]
- Enter custom domain into the Domain option
Verifying Ownership
- Go to your domain provider
- Go to DNS Settings
- Enter TXT record as per instructions
- Click Verify
Submitting Sitemap
A sitemap is a file on your site that tells Google which pages on your site we should know about. Pory automatically generates a sitemap of all your pages in /sitemap.xml
- Select Sitemaps from navigation
- Add a new sitemap
Results
Google will try to crawl a sitemap as soon as you submit it. It will take a day or so to see your page indexing report.
Pory Domain
Submitting domain
- Go to the (search console)[https://search.google.com/search-console-submit-domain]
- Enter Pory domain into Domain option
Verifying Pory Domain
- Expand the HTML tag option
- Copy the HTML meta tag
- Go to portal settings in Pory
- Select integrations
- Paste the Content ID from the HTML meta tag into Google Search Console
- Save changes
- Go back to search console and click verify
