How to submit your Pory app or portal sitemap to Google for crawling and indexing.

In this article, we will learn how to use Google's Search Console to submit our sitemap onto Google for indexing.

Custom Domain

  1. Go to the (search console)[https://search.google.com/search-console-submit-domain]
  2. Enter custom domain into the Domain option

Verifying Ownership

  1. Go to your domain provider
  2. Go to DNS Settings
  3. Enter TXT record as per instructions
  4. Click Verify

Submitting Sitemap

A sitemap is a file on your site that tells Google which pages on your site we should know about. Pory automatically generates a sitemap of all your pages in /sitemap.xml

  1. Select Sitemaps from navigation
  2. Add a new sitemap

Results

Google will try to crawl a sitemap as soon as you submit it. It will take a day or so to see your page indexing report.

  1. Expand the HTML tag option

  2. Go to portal settings in Pory
  3. Select integrations
  4. Paste the Content ID from the HTML meta tag into Google Search Console

  1. Save changes
  2. Go back to search console and click verify
